As the days heat up and summer takes over, Dunkin’ is back with a refreshing lineup of seasonal treats and drinks designed to cool you down and kickstart your day. From icy beverages to sweet snacks, this year’s Summer Dunkin’ menu is promising!
The first new item is a fourth refresher flavor, Tropical Guava. It is described on Dunkin’s website, “Tropical Guava Dunkin’ Refresher features passion fruit, orange, and guava flavors, combined with iced green tea or lemonade for a refreshing boost of energy.” Dunkin also has a $3 deal on all refreshers made with green tea or lemonade. I give the refresher 8/10. It is perfect for a hot summer day and offers a new, different flavor to Dunkin’s menu. It is good with either green tea or lemonade, but I recommend lemonade for a more tropical taste.
Next is the Pistachio Signature Latte which is available hot or iced. It is described on Dunkin’s website as “Rich espresso and milk paired with the pistachio flavors all topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and new Waffle Cone pieces.” I give this drink a 7/10. The Waffle Cone pieces are new to the signature latte collection and are a nice touch. The drink itself is not too sweet and is a good balance between espresso and pistachio flavor.
A revamped version of the Lemon Loaf is also new. The Strawberry Lemon Loaf is “a lemon loaf cake with a strawberry cake swirl, topped with flavored white icing.” The loaf is a 7/10. The Iced Lemon Loaf was very popular before, so the strawberry twist is a good way to offer variety. It is very sweet!
Sophomore Lucas Williams gives Tropical Guava Refresher 8/10. He ordered it with lemonade and described it as tasting similar to guava juice with citrus flavor. He recommends it to anyone who enjoys the Dragon Fruit Refresher.
Junior Aubrey Kester tried the Tropical Guava Refresher with lemonade and really enjoyed it. She said,. “Strawberry guava flavor that is very strong, sweet, and tart.” She said she would reorder it and recommends it to anyone who likes sweet tart flavors.
Mrs. Kerpsack tried the Pistachio Latte and gave it a 4/10. She said, “a milkshake rather than my morning coffee.” She liked the waffle cone pieces on top, but it was overly sweet.
Dunkin continues to create new flavors and bring back old favorites making it a popular destination for many students and teachers to get their morning coffee and cool drinks during the warmer weather. Lowellville continues to “Run on Dunkin.”
