Crumbl has become one of America’s fastest growing cookie sensations. Crumbl started with two cousins who loved to bake. Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley decided to go on a mission to create the best chocolate chip cookie. They have now achieved this. This quest to create the best cookie turned into a dream come true. Since opening their first bakery in Logan, Utah in 2017 it has become the fastest growing cookie company in the U.S., opening over 1000+ bakeries.
Crumbl bakeries offer something most bakeries do not. They offer a new variety of cookies weekly. On their website they shared that they change the flavors weekly to improve current recipes and customers look forward to the new flavors added to the menu every week.
The week of September 30-October 5, Crumbl offered a very diverse selection of savory cookies. These include Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk, Brownie Sundae, Cookies & Cream Milkshake, Ultimate Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip and Pumpkin Cake Cookie.
Through tasting the cookies, I found my favorite to be the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip and Pumpkin Cake Cookie. I thought the mix of oatmeal and chocolate chips was very good and the pumpkin cake cookie offered cake in the form of a cookie topped with buttercream icing. The pumpkin flavoring and buttercream frosting was a great combination of flavor. My least favorite of this week was definitely the Brownie Sundae. However, I do not like chocolate cookies so others who do may enjoy it.
Crumbl has also been experimenting with different types of desserts. They have launched new cakes, and cheesecakes. I think this will help expand their horizon into not just a cookie shop but more of a bakery. Crumbl is also a very family oriented company. They shared on their website about being closed on Sunday because they believe “Sunday is a dedicated day to our Crumbl Crew to be with their friends and families.” This shows the value they have for both their workers and their owners.
