The Rocket Review would like to continue featuring our senior athletes here at Lowellville High School. This edition I reached out to our senior cheerleaders to ask them about their last year cheering in high school and if they have plans to cheer in college. 

Sophia Alfano

How does it feel to cheer for high school this year?

1.It’s sad to have to cheer for basketball because it’s all going to end soon. Football went by so fast and I can’t imagine being done cheering for our boys.

Are you planning to cheer in college? If yes, where are you going to college? If not, what are you planning to do in the future?

2.I don’t plan on cheering in college. I would like to go to Kent State and study pre medicine. From there then go to medical school in hopes of becoming a surgeon. 

Mia Mangine

How does it feel to cheer for high school this year?

1. I am pretty sad that I am cheering for my last ever season and it all feels bittersweet but I can’t wait to just enjoy it all and have some fun.

Are you planning to cheer in college? If yes, where are you going to college? If not, what are you planning to do in the future?

2. I have been interested in cheering for the Universal Cheer Association (UCA) one day.

How does it feel to cheer for high school this year?

1. It feels bittersweet. I am sad that this is the end, but I’m excited for what is to come. It almost doesn’t feel like this is actually the last time I’m going to be cheering. 

Are you planning to cheer in college? If yes, where are you going to college? If not, what are you planning to do in the future?

2. I do not plan on cheering in college. I am undecided on what college I will be attending, however I plan to major in psychology

How does it feel to cheer for high school this year?

1. I am sad that this is going to be my last season cheering, but I am grateful that I have had the chance to do it for so long.

Are you planning to cheer in college? If yes, where are you going to college? If not, what are you planning to do in the future?

2. I do not plan on cheering in college. I am going to compete for Purdue University in Track and Cross Country and I am going to study Industrial Engineering.

How does it feel to cheer for high school this year?

1. It feels bitter sweet to be cheering for the last year and cheer has helped me grow through the years so knowing that it’s the last year is crazy to me. 

Are you planning to cheer in college? If yes, where are you going to college? If not, what are you planning to do in the future?

2. I don’t plan on cheering in college. I plan on going to college for graphic design or creative media production.
